CityZen® protects you from the sun

We discovered that our t-shirts have another great feature that you will especially appreciate when moving in direct sunlight. Yes, you won't get burned through our t-shirts! And how do we know? We sent them out for testing. The measurement took place according to the Australian/New Zealand standard, which determines the correctness of the UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) testing. Australia is one of the world leaders in the prevention and treatment of skin cancer and has been measuring UPF since the end of the last century. So let's take a closer look at all this expertise!


UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is used to determine the sun protection of textiles. This factor tells us the amount of UV radiation that can penetrate the fabric and reach the skin.

If a piece of clothing has a UPF rating of 50, it means that it blocks 98% of the sun rays. Only 2% of UV rays pass through the textile. UPF protection has the advantage of blocking both UVA and UVB rays.
